Tile and Floors

Tile work in the shower finished up this weekend and the hard wood floors started to go down today.

Kitchen and bath back splashes are done, so it the fireplace inside and out. They are working on the master money pit shower today.

Mom and dad arrived last night and of coarse we ran them over to see the house. They finished the window and door frames. Today, if the rain doesn't stop them, they have a few things to finish up and they are suppose to start working on getting ready to start the second floor. We should get another electrician bid today. Daddy said, "it is built bull strong"...so I guess he approves.

We are ready to move in.....

But the house just isn't ready yet.

Well we are getting a better look at what our house is going to look like. Somethings I really am excited about, but there are some things I am not quite sure if we made the right decision. I guess time will tell. The good news is...I have LOTS OF CLOSETS!

It was like Christmas yesterday when I drove by the new house..my heart was racing it was so exciting. It finally looks like a house. You can start to see what we did right and what we may have done wrong. However, the good news is we have started. We even had the neighborhood come to visit...The third bedroom has been called by Emmy who requested it be pink and Luke who just requested to come stay with us. It sounds like we should have built more bedrooms!

We should have a dance with the large dance floor we now have. The crew promised me walls tonight when I get home! Of coarse I have a 4-H Club Craft Class until 5:30 pm...I hope I don't get caught speeding!

Saturday night (March 28) our neices Emmy and CJ joined us for our Saturday night cook out. CJ helped pick up lots of blocks and Emmy enjoyed rolling in the dirt with Wes and Garrett.

I am hoping that our Saturday night cook out starts to become a trend and that during the construction and when it is finished we will have had lots of dinner guests!

So let me know when you are coming so we can add another plate to the table!

Cabinets are going in

Paint and Cabinets

Paint was done late tonight and wrapped up after I left. Cabinets are in boxes in the garage and installation will start tomorrow.

Paint should finish on Thursday, he's been putting in long days and it's looking good.

Besides a house...we have another family project...Sammy!
