Things are slowing down..again.

Garrett showing the new shower for the upstairs bathroom..Mr. Tony (our builder) picked it out since we couldn't seem to get it done...I think he made a nice choice...the boys especially like the seat!

I had to really look to see what they got done yesterday...things aren't as visable as they have been. They did this, but I don't know what it does, but I was told it was important.

Check another thing off the list...

Wes was not as thrilled as his parents about ALL A's for the year and highest average awards for math, science, reading, writing and social studies! Watch out 5th grade!

Garrett also received all A's for the out second grade!

The "library"...I hope the boys will spend a lot of time there!

Working upstairs.

The upstairs bathroom...

My house all wrapped up for summer!

One more day of school and we can check that off the list.
I am sure this is going to be a busy exciting summer!

Bring on the rain...they can work inside!

The boys playroom...Big Boy and little boys...

Decisions this, bathroom and library(sounds better than a space where we can put book shelves!)...

I will take one house wrapped with a bow please!
It is so nice not to have to depend on the it is raining again...they can work inside as well as outside. The upstairs shower is suppose to be delivered today. Now if we could just decide on the color of the roof...

Now..if I could just decide on what color..

Getting ready for the fire place...

Back side of the windows are boarded in trying to keep the rain out...

They started running electric yesterday..

The kitchen and dining room. We spent Sunday at Home Depot picking out counter tops. Cabinet maker is suppose to come and measure soon.
Lots of decisions are being made these days..changes here, changes there...every day there seems to be something new we have to decide. The good news is Wesley and I seem to be on the same page and our builder is fantastic to work with. Things are coming right along!

Take that rain..

Maybe with some cover on top of the house, the rain will stay out! One can always hope!

Let the sun shine in...

There was a large crew working this morning, maybe they can get a lot done before is starts raining...again. We had over two inches on Sunday night and I believe every drop was sitting on our living room floors!
Wesley and Garrett worked last night trying to get the water off the floors...Wes and I were at baseball practice.
The boys have are down to 9 days of school...bring on summer. We are ready for it!

Here comes the rain again...

The good news is the electricians started on Saturday.

The bad news is it WON'T STOP RAINING!!!

"Emmy's room" (our neice that has staked claim on the front bedroom)and the front living room.

The "great room" is more like a lake house!

We need a roof!

The forcast is for rain all week. Considering we didn't get anything on our "to do" list accomplished this weekend, maybe that is a good thing.

Living Out of Boxes

Boxes of our stuff laid out in "Shopping Lanes" in our garage.

Janette has been working on the kitchen.

Meeko is finding new spots to watch over the house.
Don't know where anything is. Pictures were taken with my phone.

Looking Good!

Finished the roof!

Maybe the boys won't fall off.

The middle dormer.

To the left of the stairs.
It is so exciting to go home every night and see what has happend...especially since we went for so long with NOTHING happening. They really have gotten a lot done this week. It should be "dried in" by next week. Every morning before I go into work I stop and visit with the builder. I/we are starting to have to make decisions...wish us luck!

Miss Dabo arrives at the farm.

Wes brushing Miss Dabo.

You can tell he doesn't pay the feed bill!

Miss Dabo showing off her best side!
Miss Dabo is all settled in at the farm. She and Wes are getting along GREAT! Maybe we can get a halter on her this weekend! First show is in August!
Oh..and for our Yankee family and friends "Dabo" is Clemson's new football coach...go figure.

Wednesday -

The boys hanging off the front of the house.

Wes in the front dormer.

The boys running to the house. They were excited as this was the first time they had been to the house with stairs so they could go upstairs and run around. I was a nervous wreck...I just knew someone was going to fall off!

Moving on upstairs!

The new stairs!

Ceiling in the "great room".

Upstairs...future playroom!

Future "playroom".

Middle dormer..

Looking out in the hall from the boys room. Boys closet on the right. Hallway on the left.

From the back of the house looking through to the front of the house.

You know when you walk into someone's house and you say to yourself, "I have no idea why they did it that way." I am quickly learning when building a house there is a lot of things that are out of your control and you REALLY wouldn't have done it that way, but you are quickly told it HAS to be that way and to hush and figure out how to make it work.
So when you come to visit, which we hope you will, just remember there are certain things that I/we had not control over.
Also, I was told today that I had to get my bathtub and showers ordered...any requests/suggestions?

Busy weekend with Wes' 10th birthday which included picking up his new heifer and a Riverdogs baseball game. Mother's day was also a busy day.
