Wrapping Up

Everything is just starting to wrap up. I've been waiting to post pictures when things finish. Since it's all going to be done about the same time, I'll have to post one before it's done.

Trick 'r Treat

It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten.

Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick.

Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem... the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety human and otherwise try to survive the scariest night of the year.

Trick 'r Treat is an upcoming horror film. It was written and directed by Michael Dougherty and based on his short film Season's Greetings.

Originally slated for an October 5, 2007 release, it was announced in September 2007 that the movie has been pushed back by Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures.

The movie is scheduled to be released in October 2009 on DVD/Blu Ray. It look's like it will be a classic cult Halloween movie.

Here's a morbidly funny short story about a trick-or-treater stalked by a stranger on Halloween night.

Build It and They Will Come

Picnic in the backyard!

Aunt LA, Aunt Marsha and the girls hanging out on the back porch!

Aubrey seeing how the back porch is for crawling!

Madison and Caleb's first visit!

Something about letting dead dogs lie...

Garrett, Aubrey and Ms. Von working on Aubrey's walking.

There is a lot of "trash" when building a house...but WHY there is a bowling ball is still a mystery!

Though there isn't much building going on (hope that changes by the end of the week) we are keeping our minds and bodies occupied with baseball, food and play productions... After the baseball tournament on Saturday, the family had a picnic at the new house courtesy of Ms. Von and Mr. Tom. It was VERY yummy, however, the shade and restroom facilities were limited.

knick knacks, Dustables, and Hootenanny's

Just think how many of those Janette will be able to put on the mantel. Trim work is almost done.

Bring on Summer

We have NEVER had a heat pump before...I can't wait.

Back Porch Sitting...

Garrett climbing through the house!

Mom and dad checking out the back porch.

View of the back of the house.

Garrett climbing again.

Wes broke out his front tooth turkey hunting last week.

Last week was very eventful...they got both the porches on AND Wes knocked out his front tooth in a hunting accident...good news is they were able to re-attach his tooth, bad news is he missed the turkey!
Trusses are suppose to come in some time this week, but I am afraid rain may hold us back again.

Look from the living room out the front door.

Front of the house!
Well if we can't get a roof, we can get some rockers and sit on our front porch and rock!
